Thinking of Joining Us?

Lauderdale Suzuki Group is a Suzuki programme run by a team of Suzuki violin teachers, musicianship teachers and pianists in North London. Founded by Elisabeth Waterhouse in 1978, we started with only about 30 children and have now expanded to around 80 families.

Our students learn with us each Wednesday as a group and also individually once a week with a qualified Suzuki teacher.

Group lessons take place at Lauderdale House, Waterlow Park, Highgate Hill N6 on Wednesday afternoons during term time from 3.55 pm until 7.00 pm. We offer thirty group lessons per year and numerous performance opportunities for groups and soloists.

In addition to their group violin lessons, children take a second class, either musicianship, ensemble playing or orchestra. Music theory classes are available to children aged 8 or over, for an additional £75 per term.

We are part of the London Suzuki Group (LSG) and require all families to be active members of the London Suzuki Group and British Suzuki Music Association (BSMA). These organisations host events throughout the year that supplement our own groups including workshops, concerts, and residential courses.

The LSG also provides financial support through it’s bursary fund for families that qualify. For more information about the LSG bursary fund please visit http://londonsuzukigroup.co.uk/membership/.
